When I was previously working at a precision sheet metal factory, I was tasked with selling an old laser processing machine. The only way to contact machinery buyers was to reach out to each company individually, which took a lot of time for appraisals. I wondered, 'Why can't selling machinery be as easy as selling a car?' With this question in mind, I later joined a machinery trading company. While working there, I created a program that automatically generated tags for auction items, which were previously made by hand, and it was well-received. Convinced that the machinery industry could benefit from IT, I founded Machine Technologies Inc. with two classmates from university, Takumi and Shiori. We are developing 'Machinets,' an e-commerce site where people around the world can purchase used Japanese machinery. We express our respect for the machinery manufacturing, wholesale, and metalworking industries that have supported human life, and we are contributing to this industry with the help of IT.
